“You guys just did a fabulous job, and I’ve referred you to at least 10 friends and associates already. Our real estate agent thinks the landscaping will sell the house – in her words, it’s the best backyard on the Ballard market!”

How often should I fertilize my garden and what should I use to fertilize?

Fertilizing is not always necessary to support healthy plants. Proper soil amending prior to planting, correct watering methods, and annual application of an organic mulch such as compost, bark mulch, or arborist's chips can help provide the proper balance of nutrients that your garden needs.

Fertilizer is often helpful for annuals, vegetables, and container gardening. In addition, fertilizer may be necessary when plants show signs of nutrient deficiency or during transplanting. In any of these cases, we highly recommend using a 100% organic product and ensuring that it is applied correctly using appropriate amounts.
